I’m Dan Bond, Founder and Principal AI Advisor at LumenForge Advisors, based in Lake Wylie. I spent 26 years at Microsoft, starting in support and finishing as Director of AI Strategy and Transformation for the Americas. In July 2026 I left to bring that experience home to the Carolinas.
LumenForge focuses on helping small and mid-sized businesses adopt AI safely and practically. I work across Microsoft, Google, and AWS with no vendor to sell, so my advice is about what fits the business, not what fits a product line. My approach pairs executive-level guidance with hands-on execution: I help leaders set direction, then I roll up my sleeves and help their teams get it done.
I’m also a SCORE Charlotte volunteer, a PMP, and a certified Change Management Practitioner.
What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
AI is moving faster than most small businesses can keep up with, and the people getting left behind aren’t the ones who lack talent; they’re the ones who lack a guide. I’ve watched large enterprises spend millions figuring this out. Local business owners deserve that same knowledge without the enterprise price tag.
I believe AI should be a force multiplier for people, not a replacement for them. Done deliberately, it gives a single person company the capacity of a multi-person firm and, for companies with mor employees, it gives them more room for the work that matters. Helping my own community get that right is the most meaningful way I can use the last 26 years.
Describe How You Would Like To Be Introduced Via Email
I’d like to introduce you to Dan Bond, founder of LumenForge Advisors here in Lake Wylie. Dan spent 26 years at Microsoft leading AI strategy and now helps local businesses integrate AI safely and practically, without the hype or a vendor agenda. You mentioned <issue/question/concern> and Dan is the person I’d trust with that conversation.
Qualifying Questions: What are three questions we can ask clients to help pave the way for a referral? List them here.
1. If AI could take one time-consuming task off your team’s plate, what would it be, and do you have someone who can help you figure out how?
2. Do you know which AI tools your employees are using right now, and what company or client information they might be putting into them?
3. Do you have a written policy for how your team is allowed to use AI?
