  • Describe How You Would Like To Be Introduced Via Email
My name is Jayathas Kamalanathan, and I serve as the Director and Partner for Network in Action (NIA) in Sri Lanka. With over 24 years of experience as an international development and humanitarian practitioner, I have led strategic initiatives across Sri Lanka, Australia, Myanmar, and Central Asia—focusing on economic development, community resilience, and social impact through multimillion-dollar programs and public-private partnerships.
In addition to my development work, I am also the founder of Grace (Pvt) Ltd, a tourism and homestay business based in Batticaloa, which reflects my commitment to grassroots entrepreneurship and local economic growth.
As a passionate community builder, my mission with NIA is to help bring together business owners across Sri Lanka into a trusted network that fosters collaboration, generates high-quality referrals, and drives collective economic success. I believe we grow stronger when we grow together—through meaningful connections, shared values, and strategic partnerships.
I would love to connect with you to explore how we can support each other and strengthen Sri Lanka’s business community through the NIA platform.
  • What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
My "why" is rooted in a deep belief that sustainable growth happens when communities unite to uplift one another. After decades of working in international development and humanitarian sectors, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful connections, shared knowledge, and collaboration can transform lives and businesses. Through the NIA platform, I’m driven to create a vibrant network in Sri Lanka where business owners don't compete in isolation, but grow together, supporting one another, exchanging opportunities, and building long-term value. I do what I do because I believe in empowering others to succeed and in the strength of community-driven progress.

    1. Who do you know that’s looking to grow their business and could benefit from being part of a trusted professional network like ours?
    2. Have you worked with any suppliers, partners, or service providers recently who impressed you and might be a great fit for our network?
    3. Is there someone in your circle who’s trying to expand their client base or enter new markets and could benefit from a supportive business community like NIA?
