About me
I own Lamplighter Web Design in Monument, Colorado. My wife Sarah and I build and maintain websites for small local businesses around Colorado Springs, Monument and the Front Range.
Every site is hand coded from scratch. No templates, no page builders. We work on a monthly subscription with no build fee up front, so a business gets a real custom site without a five figure invoice to start. Hosting, unlimited content edits, local SEO and support are all included in the monthly.
Most of our clients came from a referral or from someone we met at a meeting, and all of them have my cell number instead of a ticketing system. -
What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
Almost every client I take on has the same story. They paid somebody for a website, and then that person stopped answering. Or they built it themselves on a page builder and now it is slow, it is stuck, and they cannot change their own hours without help.
That is a rotten spot to be in when your website is how people find you. So I answer my phone, I do not lock anyone into a platform they cannot leave, and edits are part of what they already pay instead of a new invoice every time.
I would rather be the last web guy somebody has to hire. -
Describe How You Would Like To Be Introduced Via Email
Short beats polished. Something like:
"Joe, this is <name>. They run <business> and their website is <the problem>. Joe builds and maintains sites for small businesses around the Springs, hand coded, monthly, no big bill up front. I will let you two take it from here."
Put us both on the email, give me their first name and one line about what they do, and I will reach out the same day. You do not have to sell me and you do not have to sell them. -

1. When was the last time anyone actually updated your website, and who did it?
2. If somebody finds you on Google today, what do you want them to do next, and does the site make that easy?
3. If you needed a change made this afternoon, who would you call and how long would it take? -
