I am a corporate lawyer and Managing Partner at Srivastava & Chowksey Law Firm, with offices in Bhopal, Indore and Delhi. I advise businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and government organisations on corporate and commercial transactions, M&A, investments, real estate, infrastructure, media laws, hospitality technology and regulatory matters. I also have experience in litigation and arbitration.
I am particularly interested in understanding the business behind a legal problem and finding practical, commercially workable solutions rather than looking at law in isolation. Over the years, building my own practice has also given me a strong interest in entrepreneurship, leadership, relationship-building and the journey of building a professional services business.
Beyond law, I enjoy engaging with people, exchanging ideas and learning from different perspectives. I believe continuous learning, integrity and the ability to adapt are essential to both professional and personal growth.
What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
My “why” is ultimately about creating value through what I know and what I do.
I chose law because I enjoy solving problems. But over time, I realised that being a lawyer is not just about knowing the law—it is about understanding people, businesses and their objectives, and then helping them navigate complexity and make better decisions.
What motivates me particularly is working with entrepreneurs and businesses at important moments in their journey—whether they are starting something new, raising an investment, entering into a significant transaction, expanding their business or dealing with a difficult legal challenge. Being able to bring clarity to a complicated situation and help someone move forward gives me a tremendous sense of satisfaction.
There is also a personal dimension to my “why”. Building my own law firm has given me the opportunity to create something from the ground up, build relationships, work with talented people and continuously challenge myself. Every stage of that journey has taught me something new.
So, if I had to put it simply, I do what I do because I enjoy solving meaningful problems, helping people and businesses move forward, and continuously building something that I can be proud of.

Is there anyone in your professional network who is facing a legal, regulatory or contractual challenge where an initial discussion with me could be helpful?
