Describe How You Would Like To Be Introduced Via Email
I'd like to introduce you to John Strohmeyer. John is a Houston attorney who focuses on estate planning, probate, and tax law. He is dual board certified in Tax Law and Estate Planning and Probate Law, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). His firm is built around exceptional client service, drawing on his background in management with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
We have a special scheduling hotline just for our favorite referral sources, and you can find a time to talk here. https://calendly.com/john-strohmeyer/secret-referral-hotline
I’m generally available every day for that first call to get started. (And you can use that link if you need to jump on my calendar for a quick question about anything.)
What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
I believe good estate planning gives families certainty when they need it most. My goal is to help clients leave No Unfinished Business®. That means creating plans that work in the real world, not just on paper. I also believe clients deserve clear answers, honest advice, and an exceptional service experience. Too many people are sold unnecessary complexity or legal strategies that promise more than they can deliver. I enjoy cutting through that noise and helping clients and their advisors make confident, informed decisions.
Qualifying Questions: What are three questions we can ask clients to help pave the way for a referral? List them here.
1. When was the last time your estate plan was reviewed to make sure it still reflects your goals and current law?
2. Have you or your advisors ever been presented with an "advanced" trust or tax strategy that sounded almost too good to be true?
3. If something happened to you tomorrow, would the people you've chosen know exactly what to do, or would they be figuring it out as they go?
Unique Selling Proposition
We combine sophisticated estate planning and tax knowledge with a client experience inspired by Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. We believe exceptional legal work is only part of the job. The way clients are treated matters just as much. We focus on creating practical, understandable plans that work when families need them, while helping clients and their advisors avoid unnecessary complexity, costly mistakes, and planning strategies that simply do not hold up.
About me
I am the owner of Strohmeyer Law PLLC in Houston, Texas, where I help individuals and families navigate the maze of estate planning, probate, and tax matters.
Before becoming an attorney, I worked in management for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. That experience continues to shape how our firm serves clients today. We believe legal representation should combine technical excellence with clear communication, responsiveness, and an outstanding client experience.
I am dual board certified in Tax Law and Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and am a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
I regularly speak and write on estate planning, probate, tax issues, and emerging topics such as artificial intelligence in law practice and misleading trust and tax strategies. My goal is to make complex legal concepts understandable and to help both clients and their professional advisors make better decisions.
Outside the office, I host the Five Star Counsel® podcast, where I explore how law firms can improve client service by applying lessons from world-class hospitality organizations. I also enjoy marathon running, traveling, and spending time with my rescue dogs.
Outside the office, I spend time with my rescued mutts Billy and Tank; running marathons (50 as of April 1, 2026); and expanding my LEGO and Warhammer 40,000 collection.
