Qualifying Questions: What are three questions we can ask clients to help pave the way for a referral? List them here.
Three Referral‑Paving Qualifying Questions:
1. “Who else in your circle is working on a remodel, new build, or design update where expert window treatment guidance would save them time and stress?”
2. “Have any friends, neighbors, or colleagues mentioned challenges with privacy, heat, or lighting in their homes or offices?”
3. “Is there a builder, designer, or contractor you trust that would benefit from having a reliable window‑treatment partner they can count on?”

About me
I’m Chris Thompson, Co‑Owner and Regional Sales Director of Eyes On Shades, a locally owned and authorized Hunter Douglas dealer serving the Greater Houston and Katy markets. I specialize in designing and delivering premium custom window treatment solutions — including shades, shutters, blinds, drapery, and fully integrated motorized systems — for both residential and commercial environments.
My work is rooted in technical precision, thoughtful design, and a commitment to exceptional client service. I oversee every stage of the process, from consultation and product specification to installation standards and long‑term performance, ensuring each project aligns with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices. I take pride in helping clients transform their spaces with solutions that enhance privacy, improve light control, increase energy efficiency, and elevate overall aesthetics.
I enjoy a wide range of hands‑on, creative, and athletic pursuits. When time allows, I play harmonica with local bands and also enjoy playing guitar. I’m an avid golfer and still jump into touch rugby when my knee permits. I have a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, which shows up in my interest in watchmaking and in my tendency to tinker with anything mechanical.
Service and community involvement have always been important to me. Over the years, I’ve donated my time to the Special Olympics in Austin and contributed to the Texas Youth Rugby Association. One of my most meaningful commitments today is supporting a close friend’s 501(c)(3) foundation, which helps individuals with cognitive and physical needs through music.
I’m also a proud Eagle Scout and was honored to be part of the inaugural induction class of the Texas Lacrosse Hall of Fame — experiences that shaped my leadership style, work ethic, and dedication to helping others.
