About me
I started landscaping when I was 12 years old, working for my neighbor who owned a landscape company. From there, I moved to another landscaping company during high school, where I began designing and selling my own projects to teachers, coaches, and family. What began as a simple job quickly became something I was naturally drawn to — creating spaces, solving problems, and bringing ideas to life.
I stepped away from the industry for a while to pursue academics and football at the United States Military Academy – West Point. I later transferred to South Dakota State University to continue playing football, but I shifted my academic focus toward what I knew I ultimately wanted: running my own landscape company. I studied Design, Horticulture, and Business, building the foundation for the career I have today.
After college, I earned a short stint with the Minnesota Vikings and later signed a multi‑year deal with the CFL. But when COVID hit, everything changed. As the world shut down and football opportunities disappeared, I realized it was time to pivot back to the industry that had always felt like home.
I came across a job posting for a Lead Installer at Outdoor Innovations Landscaping and applied immediately. Two years later, I was promoted to Lead 2D/3D Designer, and that role eventually led to my current position as a minority owner in the company.
Today, I design and sell high‑end outdoor living spaces and landscapes, and I manage all of my own projects from start to finish. My background in athletics, design, and construction gives me a unique blend of discipline, creativity, and technical precision — and I bring all of that into every project I take on. -
