I would like to connect you with Melanie Scott. She's a Nonprofit Executive for Stars, a school-based mental health nonprofit. For over 40 years, Stars has been serving young people in Middle TN. They provide counseling and therapy within schools for no charge. They meet students where they are with short and long term services. -
What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
I've been in the nonprofit space my entire career. I love being able to lay my head on my pillow at night knowing the work I put in is making an impact in the lives of young people across Middle TN. I learned from a young age that help and support aren't always easy to come by but can be completely life-changing. -

We meet kids where they are with zero expectations. They don't have to wait 6 months to be seen. We can see them without a diagnosis or with one. We are flexible in school environments, giving the schools the ability to tailor our offerings to the needs of their students. -

I'm a native Nashvillian, born at Vanderbilt Hospital. I come from two very large Catholic families so family means the world to me. -
