Describe How You Would Like To Be Introduced Via Email
Darla McLemore is the founder and designer behind Emerald Street Designs, a demi-fine jewelry brand created to empower women as they step into their next chapter. With a 25-year corporate leadership background, Darla brings a unique perspective to how style and jewelry influence confidence, presence, and personal reinvention. Through her collections and speaking work, she helps women—especially those navigating new stages of life—use intentional style as a way to be seen, feel powerful, and tell their own story.
What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
Emerald Street Designs was created from a personal turning point—the moment I realized I was evolving, even if the world still saw an older version of me. After years in corporate leadership, I felt called to build something more personal, meaningful, and true to who I was becoming.
I design jewelry for women stepping into a new chapter of life—women who are choosing themselves, embracing change, and showing up with intention.
Qualifying Questions: What are three questions we can ask clients to help pave the way for a referral? List them here.
1.) “Are you connected to any women-owned boutiques, fashion events, or organizations that support independent designers?”
2.) “Have you ever worked with someone who helps you be more intentional with your style or how you’re seen?”
3.) “I know a speaker who talks about how style and jewelry reflect the version of you you’re becoming. Would an introduction be useful?”
Unique Selling Proposition
Our collections are rooted in meaning and craftsmanship, created in small runs and curated with care. Every piece has a story—because so does the woman wearing it.
About me
I’ve spent much of my life building, leading, and showing up for others—and along the way, I learned how deeply confidence is tied to how we see ourselves. I’m drawn to moments of change, reinvention, and growth, especially the ones that happen quietly. I believe women are allowed to evolve, take up space, and redefine themselves at any stage of life. What inspires me most is helping women feel seen, grounded, and confident as they step into whatever comes next. My love language is definitely Quality Time as I value deep personal connections more than anything.
A native Texan, I have called Houston home for 30 years. interests include spending quality time with my husband and children and exploring new cultures through food and travel. If I were ever asked what my "last meal" would be, it would be a delicious bottle of red wine followed by a great cup of coffee.
