I do what I do because I enjoy helping clients bring comfort, beauty, and function to their spaces through custom window treatments. From shutters to shades to outdoor screens, it’s about more than products—it’s about delivering solutions that fit their lifestyle, enhance privacy, and add lasting value. Houston Shutter Center was founded by Tyler Spaulding, whose experience in the window treatment industry spans over a decade. His journey began in sales with a national e-commerce company, where he helped customers across the country find the perfect custom window coverings.
A proud Houstonian, Tyler loves his hometown and its rich cultural diversity. He serves as a board member of the Interior Design Society – Houston Chapter, keeping him closely connected to local designers and the latest trends.
At HSC, we pride ourselves on delivering a truly customized experience—from plantation shutters to shades and exterior patio screens. We’re a tight-knit team committed to making your project seamless, personal, and stress-free. Tyler, his wife, and their two dogs—Pebbles the frenchie and Lucy the westie—are at the heart of it all, reminding us that home is where comfort and character meet. -
