I’m Kylie Egan, founder of EmpowHer Capital—a women-led alternative investment fund designed to give high-performing professionals more control, confidence, and clarity around their financial future. I love being introduced as someone who’s redefining retirement by helping people move beyond the 401(k) and into smarter, aligned investment strategies. What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
My “why” is rooted in years of working alongside HR professionals and realizing a hard truth, most retirement strategies stop at the 401(k) and leave people guessing about what’s next. I’m here to change that.
As someone who has lived in the HR space, I know how much leadership wants to support their people—but the tools they’re given are outdated and limited. I started EmpowHer Capital to be the “what’s next” after the 401(k). To show professionals, especially women, that retirement planning doesn’t have to be a confusing, set-it-and-forget-it game. It can be intentional, personalized, and powerful.
We’re on a mission to shift how we view and manage retirement by equipping people with real resources and education on how to make sound, strategic investments—investments that go beyond traditional plans and into the world of alternative investing.
Alternative investing is no longer just for the ultra-wealthy. It’s for anyone ready to take control of their future. And we’re here to spread the word that yes, you do have options. I’m Kylie—a fund manager, retirement reform advocate, and firm believer that women deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach to wealth. With roots in HR and a passion for empowering others, I launched EmpowHer Capital to bring real change to the way we think about retirement and investing. I’m all about making money make sense—without the jargon or the pressure. Outside of business, you’ll find me walking my pup, exploring the outdoors, dancing my heart out, or hosting community events that spark deep conversations and bold action. -
