What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
My “why” comes from lived experience.
I know what it’s like to look successful enough on the outside while feeling stuck, overwhelmed, scattered, or quietly convinced you’re getting in your own way. I’ve spent a lot of my life wrestling with fear, self-doubt, inconsistency, and the old stories that keep people from doing what they know they’re capable of doing.
That’s why I do this work.
I believe most small business owners don’t need more noise, pressure, or generic advice. They need someone who can help them slow down, tell the truth, sort through the mess, and take the next right steps.
I do what I do because I want business owners to know there is a way out of chaos, survival mode, and doing it all alone. -

I’m Buddy McMahon, founder of The Way Out and a business coach for small business owners, solopreneurs, and service-based businesses.
My work is built on a simple belief: you can’t separate the business from the person running it. Most owners don’t just need another tactic or motivational quote. They need clarity, structure, honest conversation, and support they can actually use in the middle of real life.
I bring both business coaching experience and lived experience to this work. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, inconsistent, and unsure how to get out of your own way. That’s why I’m passionate about helping owners slow down, tell the truth, find the next right steps, and build something healthier and more sustainable.
