What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
The inception of “Beautiful I Am, Inc.” is deeply rooted in my personal journey of self-discovery and transformation. As a young girl, I often found myself imprisoned by feelings of inadequacy, perpetually questioning my worth and appearance, grappling with a sense of not being ‘enough’—not pretty enough, not slender enough, not popular enough.
However, I was blessed with a supportive circle of women who illuminated the true essence of beauty for me, emphasizing that external allure pales in significance if one’s inner self is not harmoniously beautiful. It is the internal richness, the strength of character, and the purity of spirit that define our true essence, and it was this profound realization that sparked a fervent passion within me—to empower every woman to transcend her circumstances and to realize her intrinsic value.
I founded “Beautiful I Am, Inc.” with a mission to educate women and girls on essential life and social skills, fostering their evolution into productive and successful individuals. It is not about the circumstances of our beginning or our present situation; it is about overcoming, about nurturing our inner selves to radiate beauty that is more than skin deep.
I envision a world where every woman recognizes her worth and cultivates her inner beauty, realizing that it is equally, if not more, important as the external. It is my ardent desire to imbue women with the understanding and the skills to nurture their inner selves, to rise above, and to illuminate the world with their unique brilliance. Through “Beautiful I Am, Inc.,” I aim to be a beacon, guiding women and young girls on their journey to self-fulfillment and true beauty. -
About me
I am a native of the vibrant and diverse city of Washington, D.C., where I first discovered my passion for visual communication and community empowerment. I am proud to be an alumna of Suitland High School and to hold a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). My educational journey also led me to attain a Masters of Theology from National Bible College, reflecting my deep exploration into philosophical and spiritual realms.
I am driven by an unyielding desire for knowledge, not for its mere acquisition but for its transformative power to inspire and elevate others. My mission is to be a catalyst for change and a gateway to opportunities, nurturing an environment where shared wisdom and collective learning become the cornerstones of progress. I firmly believe in the philosophy of "Each one, teach one," envisioning a world where shared learning and mutual growth resolve the myriad challenges we encounter.
I value the bonds of family deeply, cherishing every moment spent with my loved ones. My family is my stronghold, a constant source of love, support, and inspiration, fueling my endeavors to open doors and hold them wide for others to pass through. I am committed to sowing seeds of knowledge and wisdom, hoping to witness them blossom into greatness, ultimately contributing to a more enlightened and harmonious world. -
