About me
Aury St. Germain joined The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro as the Communications and Events Coordinator in September of 2021. He arrived from the North Carolina athletics department, where he was charged with leading communications efforts for UNC’s women’s soccer, baseball, gymnastics, and wrestling programs. In his role with Carolina athletics, he oversaw social media efforts, website management, media relations, and gameday communications for assigned sports.
Prior to his time with UNC, St. Germain had a stint at Kennesaw State University (2018-2020), where he served as the primary communications contact for the women’s basketball and baseball programs, and managed day-to-day communications for KSU’s football team.
Before his tenure in Atlanta, he completed a graduate assistantship in the athletics communications office at Western Illinois University. While earning his master’s degree in Sports Administration (2019), he worked with the Kansas City Chiefs as a training camp intern. At Western Illinois, St. Germain oversaw communications responsibilities for the football, men’s basketball, softball programs, as well as assisting with the department’s 16 sports.
A 2017 graduate of Appalachian State University, St. Germain hails from Asheville, N.C., and holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations. -
