This will be so much fun! Waterton Canyon is a beautiful canyon that runs along the South Platte river. The road was an old railroad, so its not steep up to the Strontia Springs damn. I typically see the bighorns that live in the canyon! (unfortunately, because of the big horn, they don't allow dogs or I would bring my new pups!
