What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
After my 15 year career in hospitality and private club management, I found that it was more important to me to have a happy working environment that positively benefited my community, than climbing the corporate ladder.I found myself searching for work that had a purpose, while I was simultaneously struggling with my own mental health issues around depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.
I started my marketing agency on a whim, in direct response to small business owners in my network asking me for help. I saw a gap in the market for fractional CMO services, and have developed a comprehensive development firm to bring expert marketing help to those who cannot afford to hire a full-time, in-house team member.
What keeps me going is my team and the impact we have for our clients. It's energizing and endearing to watch a small business grow, and to see the gratitude and life-changing impact it has when someone gets to fulfill their dreams.
Living an entrepreneurial lifestyle also allows me to work from home, integrating my life and job, and allowing me the time and opportunity to volunteer in our community.

Anna-Vija McCloud is an expert in marketing, processes, and systems that help small businesses grow. She is the founder and CEO of Piccolo Solutions, a development firm that helps small businesses grow top-line revenue through marketing and maximizing efficiencies to increase profitability and scalability. In her 10 years in business, she has gone from being a solo entrepreneur to growing a multi-million dollar business.
Anna-Vija is active in the Nashville community through numerous charities, boards, and volunteer efforts, including serving as the President of the Nashville Emerging Leader board. As a long-time mentor with SCORE Nashville, she is honored to have been selected as the host of the SCORE Connect television show on News Channel 5+, connecting business leaders and resources. She has been named to Nashville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Most Admired CEOs, and Best in Business lists, and was selected for the 2021 Forbes Top 1000 List.
She is a lifelong learner, motivator, and teacher. She speaks to organizations about marketing and how to scale, sharing her lived experience as an entrepreneur. Most importantly, Anna-Vija’s success has allowed her to empower others to start businesses and get clarity on their values and passions so that they can live in pursuit of them. -
