I am lifelong communications professional and award-winning broadcast and print journalist whose career came full circle in 2015 with the launch of Life in the Ranch at Brushy Creek - a digital, print, event, and video marketing company designed to help local businsses grow. I expanded my reach in 2018 with the lauch of Real Time Round-Up, a digital talk show, and again 2020 with the addition of The Vista Today serving Round Rock and Georgetown. My professional broadcast journalism career began at the age of 20 – writing, covering, and delivering news to residents in a small town in West Virginia. Nearly three decades, 14 moves, and three kids later, I transitioned from employee to business owner, leaving the news world only to discover my true calling was helping connect people by sharing THEIR stories to help their businesses grow. Having earned trust and credibility within the community, I mentor companies to achieve positive publicity through research, brand targeting, and management consultation.
About me
On camera and behind the scenes, I have launched and implemented countless media initiatives for large corporations, community hospitals, school districts, and mom-and-pop shops seeking increased sales and brand name recognition. My passion is creating and sharing compelling stories by mixing ingenuity and warmth with intelligence and detail with the overall goal of: Turning neighborhoods into communities while helping businesses thrive! Outside of work, you’ll find me running along Brushy Creek Trail, volunteering in leadership positions for our local nonprofit organizations, schools and booster clubs, and traveling to new destinations with my husband and three teenagers. Most recently, I helped spearhead the launch of the wildly successful 2020 International Women's Day Celebration.
