As a result, they lead with a positive mindset, understand how to build strong teams, lead to innovate, and successfully advance the purposes of their organizations. I do this because the alternative is leaders who are frustrated, disillusioned, and everyone loses. My heart sings when I see leaders who love what they do and do what they love.
As founder and President of Managance Consulting & Coaching since 2000, I have invigorated the management and performance of over 120 nonprofit organizations and hundreds of staff and board leaders with transforming strategic planning and energizing learning and coaching with all levels of leaders and teams. I have sold nearly $7 million in business, logged almost 2500 hours of coaching since 2008, and achieve an average coaching return on investment of 3 to 1.
My books include Taking Leadership to the Next Level (Amazon e-Book, 2018) and The Nonprofit Organizational Culture Guide (Jossey-Bass 2011). I also created the Managance Leveling Up Leadership Initiative – a content-rich, leadership development product for association and nonprofit organization senior leaders. Before starting Managance, I worked in and with socially responsible organizations and associations in a wide variety of positions ranging from Executive Director to Program Director, facilitator, trainer, researcher, and evaluator since 1983.
I earned an M.S. in Human Services from Nova Southeastern University and a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Florida International University. I am a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. I am an Energy Leadership Master Practitioner (iPEC Coaching) and Certified in Conversational Intelligence® (WBECS & CreatingWe®. I am also a graduate of the World Business Executive Coaching Summit Coaching for ROI Program and a Summit Implementation Mastery Facilitator since 2016.
