Describe How You Would Like To Be Introduced Via Email
Gary Whitsett is the founder of Bees Computing, a Colorado Springs-based cybersecurity and AI consultancy. He helps small business owners cut through the noise around AI and automation, figuring out what's actually relevant to their business before spending time or money on the wrong things.
If you know an owner who's been thinking about AI or automation but hasn't made a move yet, Gary is a good first call. He'll help them figure out where they stand and what, if anything, makes sense next.

What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
I spent years training enterprise security and AI teams — the people that large organizations rely on to understand their data, manage risk, and make smart technology decisions. Small businesses don't have those teams. Most don't even know what they're missing. That gap has real consequences — wasted money, avoidable breaches, missed opportunities. I started Bees Computing because every business deserves that same clarity, regardless of size.
Qualifying Questions: What are three questions we can ask clients to help pave the way for a referral? List them here.
"Have you started doing anything with AI in your business yet, or are you still trying to figure out where to begin?"
"Do you know what data your business is collecting and who has access to it?"
"If something went wrong with your technology tomorrow — a breach, a system failure — do you have a clear picture of what's at risk?"
Every company has data, whether they know it or not. The more vague or uncertain they are about their data or how to respond to a technology failure, the more they need to understand. If they have tried and failed to implement AI or automation, or don't know where to start, we are able to help.
Unique Selling Proposition
I spent years training the security and AI teams at large organizations. Now I help small businesses get that same foundation — cybersecurity, AI, and automation — without the enterprise price tag.
About me
Gary Whitsett is a Navy veteran with over 35 years in IT and cybersecurity. He's trained corporate security teams and built curriculum for cybersecurity bootcamps, work that put him inside some of the largest organizations in the country.
Like a lot of small business owners, his path wasn't perfectly planned. A layoff became the push he needed to stop building other people's programs and start building his own. He founded Bees Computing to bring the expertise he spent decades developing in enterprise environments directly to small business owners who need it most but rarely have access to it.
