What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
I was an R&D Engineer when a trip to Ladakh changed everything. Something about capturing those landscapes made me realize I wanted to tell stories through images, not sit behind a screen writing code. I left a stable career in 2012, and I haven't looked back. I do what I do because I believe every person, every couple, every brand has a story worth telling well. Photography lets me be the one who finds that story and makes it visible. What gets me out of bed every morning is the next story I get to tell. -

About me
I grew up in a small town in Karnataka, and went on to become an R&D Engineer at Hewlett Packard in Bangalore. But a trip to Ladakh in 2012 changed the course of my life. I picked up a camera, fell in love with visual storytelling, and made the leap to full-time photography. Fourteen years and over 300 weddings later, I run Neeta Shankar Photography, specializing in weddings, corporate events, and brand shoots. I'm a mentor with Nikon India and Godox India, and I've conducted 100+ photography workshops across the country. I bring an engineer's precision to a creative craft, and that combination is what my clients value most.
