About me
I believe strong communities are built through connection—and that small businesses are at the heart of that strength. My passion for lifting others up, combined with my ability to build meaningful partnerships, has defined my career in the nonprofit and community development sector.
My journey began at the University of Virginia, where an internship with United Way – Thomas Jefferson Area sparked a lifelong commitment to service. Since then, I have served a wide range of nonprofit organizations in both professional and volunteer roles, gaining deep experience in fundraising, community engagement, leadership development, and organizational strategy.
Today, I serve as Executive Director of the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, where I strengthen the local business community through collaboration, advocacy, and strategic engagement. Known for my relational leadership style, I bring people together to create partnerships that help businesses and the broader community thrive. I also serve as the Executive Director of the Chamber's Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Chamber and exists to support the Chamber's mission.
Previously, she served as Development Manager at Britepaths and as Adjunct Faculty at George Mason University, teaching courses on the nonprofit sector and preparing the next generation of leaders. She also provides consulting support to emerging nonprofits, helping them build sustainable foundations for growth.
Jennifer holds a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications Studies from the University of Virginia and a Master of Public Administration from New Mexico State University. She lives in Fauquier County with her husband, Michael, and their two sons. At her core, she is a connector and community builder who believes that when people come together with purpose, anything is possible.
