Strive for clarity to what are the structural concerns of the project through defining what the project end goals are. Helping define the structural end goal helps define the path and process to achieve that goal.
Look into what existing drawings, documents, permits, or historic information are available. Background information is priceless for trying to make changes going forward.
Work with a qualified Architect or residential Designer to define what that permit submittal set of documents or design looks like so we're most efficient and helpful reaching that permit goal.

I'm a Washington native, that both lives and works in Kirkland. We have one son in high school at I enjoy getting out on Lake Washington, with my boat moored in Yarrow Bay, my son goes to Bellevue Christian School
