I love bringing solutions to people and genuinely improving their lives. I'm passionate about the benefits of having a patient advocate and enjoy educating people on what a patient advocate is and how they can improve the healthcare experience. I'm also sharing my experience to others wishing to start patient advocacy businesses and I enjoy strategizing with them about how to best create a successful business.
About me
I have been running the business side of Everybody Needs A Nurse Patient Advocates since 2008. I love thinking outside of the box and presenting innovative solutions to support clients and their families. I have a PhD from UNC-CH and have taught at UNC and Duke. I received my national board certification for patient advocacy in October, 2022 and just presented a poster, titled "Patient Advocates: The Missing Piece of the Eldercare Puzzle" at the National Case Management Association meeting in Las Vegas in July 2023.
I am a passionate bead weaver. I use a needle and thread to weave tiny seed beads together to create stunning jewelry and art. I've been doing this for 15 years and love practicing and growing my skills. I love to travel and just got back from a trip to Budapest, Vienna and Prague. I live with my husband and our Pomeranian, Daisy.

Unique Selling Proposition
At Everybody Needs A Nurse, we provide an all-RN staff that supports seniors and their families as they progress through the challenges of aging. Unlike a typical case manager, who addresses an acute issue and moves on, our nurses create lasting relationships with our clients. Our structure of weekly home visits (wherever the client calls home), going with our client to doctor visits, and communicating with family after each visit ensures that small issues don't become major crises. We see our clients weekly for months and years, really getting to know them and becoming a trusted advisor to both the client and their family members.

Qualifying Questions: What are three questions we can ask clients to help pave the way for a referral? List them here.
Are you worried about your aging parent's health issues?
Are you losing work and life time taking care of your parents?
Are you worried about your parents' medications--that they're not taking them correctly or that they're not working?
