  • What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
    A life-changing event brought me to Edward Jones. In recently, my family lost my father, and I spent weeks with my mother sorting through paperwork, completing life insurance claims, and helping build her financial knowledge as a newcomer to dealing with finances. My father had left his bride with a secure but complex financial situation that took time to unravel and explain. As I helped my mother complete forms, figure out her expected income, and plan for a different future, I realized the need for expert help when sorting out the most private and at the same time complicated aspects of our lives.

    I grew up in Charlotte and moved to the Triangle in 1999 to go to NC State, and haven't looked back. When not helping clients, or running tech for our church, my wife and I and our family of 3 kids enjoys going to the lake, fishing, golf, playing music, watching 'Canes games, Jeep excursions, and attending some of the different community events in the Apex and Triangle Research Park area.

    I'm a proud member of the Apex Sunshine Rotary Club and enjoy volunteering at events like Peak City Pig Fest and Triangle Oktoberfest so that we can give tens of thousands of dollars away to deserving local and regional charities.

    When's the last time you sat down with your financial advisor? Are you getting great advice? or do you need to talk to my friend Justin?

    If they say I've never sat down - that's a great referral, if they say it's been a few years - that's a great referral. If they say they're happy where they're at and they're getting great advice - that's completely fine.
