I love solving problems and working cross-functionally across teams to improve business processes. Implementing new systems can be hard. It is often out of the comfort zone of users in the business as it is different from their day-to-day work. It also is not within the business's best interest to not transform, as it will begin to lose its competitiveness. I enjoy easing that burden by understanding the processes of the users and sharing what I have learned from years of finance leadership and system implementations.
I am a Finance Transformation Consultant and Business Coach. I love bridging the gap between Finance and IT as well as working across all business units to define a common solution. I have experience engaging in all phases of a project.
Planning and Analysis Phase:
- Developing a business case
- Defining current state processes
- Evaluating solutions and system integration partners
- Defining requirements
- Developing user stories
- Reviewing user roles and security
- Identify and define data
- Building Test Plans
- Defining the "to-be" process
- Reviewing training and change management
- Developing "cheat sheets" and process reviews
- Reviewing system and integration testing
- Lead and execute end user testing
- Validate data, processes, and integrations
Implementation and Maintenance Phase:
- Plan and execute hyper care and super user sessions
- Assist with end-user training
- Document lessons learned
Activities that stretch across the program:
- Program, scope, and risk management
- Change management and training
- Value management and business case review
- Data management - master, transactional, and migrated
- Stakeholder engagement and communications
My goal within every engagement is to create clarity, ease concerns and give the business confidence in the solution.
I am a mom of a young adult son who is currently in college. I enjoy traveling (especially with my son) to new places and learning about their food, history, and culture. I dabble in photography where I enjoy taking photos of family, the places I visit, and landscapes. I like cooking and learning about food and the nutrition and traditions involved. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and family, movies, hiking, music and listening to books and podcasts.
