My "why" is to help keep people doing what they are most passionate about for a lifetime while building meaningful relationships. Whether it means crawling on the floor with grandchildren or competing in triathlons, helping people stay engaged in the lives they want is what fuels me. Learning about who they are and why these things are important to them is what I love most about what I do. Without personal connection with my patients, I am merely a mechanic.
I was born and raised in Minnetonka, MN with my parents and younger brother. My father was a ski patrol so our winter weekends were spend skiing from the time I could walk, and my love for travel likely began with our annual ski trips out west. In the summer months I loved growing up near the water and the outdoors. The water is my happy place to this day!
I wanted to go far away for college and ended up in Bellingham, WA at Western Washington University with a six month pit stop in Newcastle, Australia before deciding to come back to Minnesota. My undergraduate degree was actually in marketing and communications, and upon my return to Minnesota I spent 5 years working in that field for the Minnesota Orchestra and the William Mitchell College of Law before making a complete change into the field of chiropractic.
In addition to chiropractic, I have also found a deep love of fitness in my adult years and have a certification in personal training and kettlebell instruction. This interest makes working with athletes a natural fit for me, and I love to keep my people performing their best while keeping them protected against injury.
I currently live in Minneapolis with my husband, Jason, our 13 year old son, Milo, and our new puppy, Hugo. We are in the glorified Uber phase of parenting, running Milo from lacrosse games to golf and skiing. However, we love our friends and family and our house is where everyone seems to land for cocktails and laughter. I love to entertain and to bring people together.
