What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
The nonprofit that I started, Bel Inizio, means “Beautiful Beginning” in Italian. Our mission is to help disadvantaged individuals build confidence through fitness and nutrition. I started Bel Inizio after the death of my husband, and the bankruptcy of my employer, provided me an opportunity to dig deep and figure out how to survive. Ultimately, I realized that exercise, eating correctly, and accomplishing daily goals gave me the confidence to move forward day after day. It became my mission to pay this knowledge forward and now in our 11th year Bel Inizio has graduated 800+ women and men who live in shelters, helping them to not only cross the finish line of their first 5K but to face each day with confidence and resilience. -
About me
I lead Bel Inizio, run marathons, rescue dogs, and spend time with my precious 90 year-old mom. I horseback ride, sail, and like a nice glass of wine from time to time. -

I know that you are a compassionate person and I'd like to introduce you to a woman that shares that characteristic.
