My life mission statement is "Love God, love people". I love working for Christian non-profits that help people overcome hardships and heal from the traumas of their past.
About me
I was born and raised in Germany, and attended the University of Passau, Germany. I have Master’s degrees in International Business and Latin American Studies, studied in Chile for one year, and interned with the German Development Service (DED) in Bolivia and Via e.V. in Uzbekistan.
After college, I worked for Malteser International, a German Christian humanitarian aid organization, in Uganda, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Peru and Chile. In 2010, I moved to Texas and worked for the German American Chamber of Commerce in Houston for a year before taking the position of the Executive Director of Neighbors in Action in August 2012. I am married to Abdul (the reason I moved to Texas), and have two daughters, Anna and Emma.
